How was everyone’s Halloween? We had so many kids come for candy, I had several lines. I love when there’s a good turnout for trick-or-treating. My mom stayed on our porch until 9pm for any last-minute trick-or-treating. The weather was beautiful outside even with the wind warning we had in effect. It was 23 degrees Celsius in my city, so a nice night to sit outside for it.
As it’s now November, it’s Christmas season now in our house. We start taking our decorations down from Halloween and switching out our fall candles for Christmas ones. We won’t get our tree out until after November 11th, which is Remembrance Day in Canada. My Christmas playlist is also queued up and ready for play.
Watching:
I watched the first two episodes of Hysteria after reading Sarah’s review on her Substack, Things That Me Me Happy. It’s being released weekly in Canada instead of all at once, but I enjoyed it so much. It has a mix of comedy and spooky and really highlights what times were like during the satanic panic happenings.
My daughter and I have started watching season 4 of Lego Masters, which is a great competition show for kids or if you love Lego. I have no clue how they are so creative on here to build what they do and Will Arnett is hilarious as the host.
Currently Reading:
I started reading but then quit The Only Survivors by Megan Miranda. I couldn’t get into the story and didn’t like any of the characters. It just wasn’t for me. I also finished All Rhodes Lead to Here and omg it was soooo good! I highly recommend it if you love a good slow burn.
I borrowed Atlas Obscura from my local library through the Libby App and I am loving all the obscure places and their history that are in it. I love non-fiction like this.
My next physical read is currently Ana Maria and the Fox by Liana De la Rosa, which was one of my Book of the Month picks last year and never picked up until now. The cover intrigued me and I love a good historical romance.
