It’s been a really great week for me. I hope it has been for you. I had my therapist appointment this week (I meet with my therapist bi-weekly online) and I had her laughing which always feels like a win. We have a plan to dive into the relationship I have with my mother (which scares me to do), but I’m thinking about it in a positive light. The relationship I have with my mother is complex due to my mental health and gets toxic at times, but a lot of the time is good. We have our ups and downs like any other relationship, but for me, she’s my person but I feel like I’m not that for her. It stresses me out and I get jealous of other people in our lives that take her attention away from me. Borderline Personality Disorder is a complex disorder and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
Watching:
I just finished watching Abbott Elementary. I had never watched it but have seen many clips online from it and it seemed right up my alley. After watching it, I can safely say it is. It’s got pining, comedy, and breaking the fourth wall, which I love when shows do. The humor is also very dry which I love.
I just started Emily in Paris season 4 on Netflix and am halfway through the season. I have THOUGHTS! I couldn’t stand Alfie in the third season and I hope he goes away soon. Someone give me hope this happens.
My daughter and I also watched the original Halloween and Friday the 13th. We’ve been watching a lot of horror movies that she’s never seen now that she’s a bit older and is interested in them.
Currently Reading:
I finally started reading Intermezzo by Sally Rooney. I haven’t gotten far enough in it to tell you what my thoughts are but I’ve seen mixed reviews on my Goodreads feed from others. Some have really enjoyed it and some have said it’s meh.
I’m also currently reading Possessive Park Avenue Prince by Brooke Blaine & Ella Frank in eBook format. It’s an extremely steamy book so far and I’m loving the tension between the MCs.
