what i read in january

including an update on our renovations and home redesign

January has been the slowest month ever I feel like. We’re still working on renovating and redesigning our house. My niece has picked colors out and our kitchen and living room accent wall is freshly painted. We just have to finish the rest of the living room walls to be completely finished with the painting portion. I admittedly didn’t do much painting, with my sister-in-law and my mom’s friend doing the majority of it themselves while we were at work. We also picked out a new couch which will be coming at the end of April. It’s an understatement when I saw I am completely stoked for it. It’s a sectional with a chaise lounge and it feels like a teddy bear. Honestly, it’s the softest couch I’ve ever sat on.

Once the warm weather comes, we want to redesign our backyard. Our backyard is quite small, but the grass isn’t grass (it’s weeds), our patio stones are breaking and we need a decent gazebo. The one we have feels like one big blow from the wind and it’s gone.

I’ll keep everyone updated with the renovations as they get completed.
