Welcome!
Here’s a summary of what I read in July with ratings. Follow me on GR to keep up with what I’m reading. Before we get into it, let me explain my process since I’m starting this newsletter in the middle of the year with no reference for you.
This year one of my new year’s resolutions was to tackle my tbr (to-be-read) on GR. I alternate between whatever is on the top of my list by release date and then a mm romance (it’s my fav genre). You’ll notice I have a bunch of graphic novels and middle grade in this list.
I read Paperback Crush last year because of the nostalgia of 80s and 90s young adult books and series and added a bunch of books that were mentioned in it. It’s a good reference book to walk down memory lane. In adding these, the top of my tbr by release date is now all these series and books.
I also plan on continuing my journey in completing Zenescope’s Grimm Fairy Tales graphic novels series (which is extremely complicated because of how many series there are and how they’re all connected). I also have been tackling SVH, BSC, and the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series, which I read as a child, but of course never read them all.
I have a reading list by release date for all these series in my OneNote since there’s so many interconnected stories and characters in them and I get confused. You’ll most likely have realized after this that I am a completist. I love series that are worlds and have connected stories and characters that crossover and love reading them in order so I get all the little references.
By doing it this way, I have a large tbr list to tackle. I am in no means saying I will complete them all this year. Let’s be realistic, I would have to read 24 hours a day/7 days a week, which is impossible. BUT, I journey on.
ANYWAYS, long story short, my tbr is massive. I have 1,664 on my GR tbr list and a huge stack of Book of the Month books on my nightstand to read. I almost always have a physical book and an ebook on the go. I have a Kindle and a KU membership, a Kobo (which I hardly use, but can use Libby with) and a BOTM subscription so I get my books that way.
Now that I’ve explained my process (which is much lengthier than what I thought it would be), let’s get to the list of my July readings.

*denotes a multi-author series
**Another series that has an interconnected world with over 200 books and multiple spinoffs. This is a spinoff from the original series Brac Pack.
***Another shared world spinoff series.
****From a shared world of series - I wasn’t a fan of it so thought I would try this stand alone set within it and didn’t really like it.
That’s all from me today! Hope you enjoyed this!
